frock for the fourth

Hi friends! I’m writing this post a little early because I won’t have access to Wifi over the weekend. I hope everyone had a pleasant few days and is gearing up for a fun 4th! I wanted to share today’s post with you for a dressier option for your fireworks celebrations! Like I said, we keep it casual for these types of things, but today’s look can go both ways in my opinion!

When I first laid eyes on this gorgeous metallic frock, it was love (and click “Submit Order”) at first sight! You guys, it’s just DARLING! The pretty summer white, the subtle silver stripes, the RUFFLES! So much cuteness in one piece! I know what you’re thinking, just another see-through white dress that looks great but it’s not practical unless I want to show off my undies. Not to worry! This dress is lined so there will be no unsightly undergarments showing! I wore this all day long at Country Summer a few weeks ago and felt so cool all day long (well, as cool as you can when it’s 101 outside). This dress is just so sweet and feminine, I know I’ll get lots of wear out of it this summer.

One of my favorite things about dresses like this is the endless styling options. For an added pop of color, I paired it with these bright red beaded earrings. I love the added statement that the red makes, not too over the top though. For a super casual daytime look, I laced up these gladiator sandals (on sale and in lots of colors!). And how cute is the straw clutch?! It also comes in red and teal, and is a perfect going out bag for summer! I’m definitely on board with the straw bag trend this year, I love the boho beauty vibe they give off, and they’re super versatile!

|| DRESS: Madewell striped dress || SHOES: gladiator lace-up sandals || EARRINGS: beaded drop earrings || BAG: straw clutch ||

I hope everyone has their sparklers and firecrackers ready to go! Speaking from my Thursday night self, I’m sure I’m having a spectacular time down on the Coast, and can’t wait until I can call this place home!

Cheers from Napa,

Troy
